Irene's Mayonnaise is in a Class All by Itself!




Growing up, I was very fortunate to have a mother who was a great cook.  She made everything from scratch and created her own recipes. I loved helping her in the kitchen. She taught me how to cook and clean.  Throughout the years my mother’s cookbook kept growing. From one delicious dish after another.

In 1995, I lost my mother to cancer. Before she left she wanted me to have her cookbook. One night I was going through the recipes and I noticed that her mayonnaise recipe wasn’t in the book. I called my mother and she told me to come over and that she would write it down for me. The mayonnaise recipe was the last one I ever got from her and on the recipe she wrote, “Good luck son!”.  I guess that was a positive prediction of what was ahead.

Irene’s Mayonnaise was established by Charles R. Bolin in 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri. 

My mother’s homemade mayonnaise was in a class all by itself. The best tasting mayonnaise you’ll ever find and all natural, too. I just had to get this on the market and share with everybody. It’s that delicious!

In honor of my mother Irene Bolin, I’m proud to say that her fabulous mayonnaise is now Irene’s Mayonnaise.

Also, I’m now pleased to be able to follow in my great grandfather Charles D. Bolin’s footsteps. In 1906, my great grandfather was the original incorporator of the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company, which he financed out-of-pocket, along with W. K. Kellogg.  This was just one of the many companies he owned including St. Louis Crystal Water and Soda Co., American Thermometer, Saint Charles Bridge, and Grand Avenue Bank.

My great grandfather and I have both been fortunate to bring exciting new products to the market at different times. I am proud to carry on the family’s name.
